This is ultimate place for all the sea food lovers in Chennai city and anyone visiting Mahabalipuram. Not being a big fan of sea food myself, I was very apprehensive when my friends told me the catch would be placed before us and we have to choose whatever we want cooked! Just imagine the smell… I did not want to get sick there.

We booked a table in advance as it was New years’ and we wanted to avoid the big crowds. All the people running the place were extremely friendly, a few lapses occurred because of the huge crowd which was totally bearable. Everyone speaks English which is a big ease for all the travelers.

The biggest surprise was the fresh catch did not have the raw smell as I expected, only to a small extent the smell was present. We quickly choose prawns, squid, lobster and red pomfret.

They do have rice and parotta as main course but in my opinion, it was the fish, prawns and other things we ordered, the main course rather than the rice!

Our dishes came faster than our plates! everything was fresh, the masala really good and absolutely no raw taste of fish!

Squid was given with a lemon garlic paste which won our hearts to a big extent. The masala base was the same for all the dishes but nevertheless we enjoyed everything!

There was so much food that we had the leftovers packed. The total cost came to INR 10,000 for eight people!! But we left the place with a full stomach as well as a full heart.
