After swirling and swirling and swirling in Phoneix marketcity for parking, we were relieved when we finally settled in Spaghetti Kitchen for dinner! Since it was a Monday we did not have any problem with finding a table.
The open kitchen, the colourful mosaic tables and wine glass made me like the ambiance but the cosy aspect was missing!
We got a complimentary basket of bread with butter, the restaurant has a standard basket no matter if there are two people dining or ten people dining, it would be great if they take the number of people into count to share the basket rather than one table one basket count! But the staff after a lot of persuasion did give us an extra basket because we were a lot in number.
We started with Pomegranate Mojito and Green Apple Mojito. From the bread section Pancetta Venitian, though Pancetta itself implies pork, we replaced it with chicken meat. For the mains: Spaghetti D’Pollo Oneglia and Pesce Caprice.
The starter was spicy and tasted good, the fish was tender but the chicken chunks was very rough!
The spaghetti was made with white cheese sauce, black olives, cherry tomatoes, pieces of chicken with a hint of basil. Well I loved the spaghetti but for my colleagues who was having their first attempt with Italian found it Bleh!! However, the chicken was very rough which I did not enjoy.
The Pesce caprice was the BEST dish we had that evening, it was so good we repeated our order and the second time the fish was roasted even better! Pesce caprice is basa fish fried and served with mashed potato and boiled carrot and broccoli.
The people on the other side of the table ordered vegetarian dishes and I tasted a thin crust pizza, which was alright.
The bill came to around INR 6500 for eight people, though I found the individual dishes to be costly especially the fish for the quantity, the person who paid the bill, found it very cheap.
