We were three friends meeting after a long time, and all we wanted was a quiet place to sit and talk for long hours and quick service. We did not have the slightest clue that Coffee Central in T.Nagar, Chennai would be the ideal place. This place is very easy to spot as it is on the main road and very close by to the Singapore Consulate, but the parking is a major issue.
The café cuts out all the noise coming from the traffic outside and the ambiance transforms you into “RELAX MODE”, the place is neatly done with a book shelf and board games on one side and pictures of America all over the place, the yellow painted wall compliments the brown furniture really well.
Since we were the only people there the service was quick, the food came first followed by the beverages. We ordered a paneer sandwich, french fries, potato wedges, vegetarian pasta, Thai iced coffee, iced café mocha and caramel frappe.
The French fries were crisp given in huge quantity, the potato wedges was bland and more Oregaon would have added more flavour to it. The sandwich as well as pasta tasted normal and nothing special about it. The beverages were the most disappointing of all, especially with the café called “Coffee Central” I expected more than normal iced coffee in tall fancy glasses.
