Well, I was in Bombay and I was too excited because of all the new places I can visit and eat!! My friend and myself were in Bandra, IMBISS was nearby, we had to venture into a poorly lit road and I was so convinced a restaurant so famous cannot exist there. As we were about to turn back we spotted the place.
They have both outdoor and indoor seating, since we wanted to sit inside we had to wait for ten minutes!! It is a general knowledge that space is a luxury in Bombay, so I wasn’t surprised that the tables inside were spaced very closely to each other. A very steep stairs led to upstairs where we were seated.
From the menu, we ordered Pork Bockwurst and a chicken burger. The burger arrived in ten minutes while the pork took its own sweet time!
Burger was served with fries and coriander sprinkled all over it. It had mincemeat patty with cheese placed in between baked burger buns and served with sauteed onions and tomatoes. While the pork arrived fully drenched in a hot brown mustard sauce with mashed potatoes and salad.
The pork was very tender but the sauce was salty which made the whole dish go down five points out of ten. It was disappointed given that it was my first attempt at pork but it wasn’t entirely bad, the mashed potatoes and the brown sauce complimented really well and there was occasional guest appearance from pepper 🙂
The chicken burger was good and won over the bockwurst! The patty tasted real different and the fries were crispy.
The prices are very nominal for the portions they serve. Nothing so special about their servie and ambience but, it is a very apt place when a non-vegetarian feels the need to be spoilt with a wide range of choices 😀
